1x1 rib:
Provides strong natural stretch and is often used for neck and cuff trims, but rarely for full garments. Often a small amount of elastane is part of the fibre blend to further enhance the stretch properties.
Elastane:
An elastic fibre that is usually blended at low percentages (between 3% and 10% content) to achieve fabrics with stretch properties. The higher the elastane content is, the more a fabric will stretch and adapt to the wearer’s body contours.
Cotton:
Cotton fibres are of different lengths. These fibres can be spun into yarn in different ways, the treatment of the shorter fibres determining the quality of the yarn.
