1x1 rib:
Provides strong natural stretch and is often used for neck and cuff trims, but rarely for full garments. Often a small amount of elastane is part of the fibre blend to further enhance the stretch properties.
Cotton:
Cotton fibres are of different lengths. These fibres can be spun into yarn in different ways, the treatment of the shorter fibres determining the quality of the yarn.
Ring spun yarn:
Ring spinning integrates shorter fibres into the yarn by adjusting them with the longer yarns. This leads to a smoother yarn with a softer hand feel and higher durability. Russell only uses yarn that is at least ring spun quality or better.
