Quality. It’s a tricky word, isn’t it? So over-used these days that it doesn’t really mean what it used to.

Our response at Russell Europe has been to build in measurable quality so you know we mean it. We’ve taken the details of design and manufacture that deliver better garments, and quantified it for all to see.

You may wonder why you should care about the quality of the garments you use? Your reputation is reflected in every decorated garment that you sell. So we think it’s in both of our interests that you choose the best. After all, if your message is worth saying, it's worth saying with quality.

What do we do?

At Russell Europe head office we have a dedicated Quality team who’ve been in the business of clothing manufacture for more years than they’d like to admit. Throughout the year they travel the globe making sure that our suppliers stick to our strict guidelines.

In 2005, we decided to extend our quality controls and introduced a further tier of in-house quality control testing. This means that we can double-check our external results again our own internal findings.

Our high-tech in-house lab has a huge array of testing equipment. There is machinery which tests everything from cold-water staining to perspiration, pilling, snagging, colour-fastness, and abrasion. And all in accordance with the international industry standards for assessment.

Based within our Distribution Centre in Scotland, the lab allows us to carry out continual stock checking to ensure that our customers get the best product possible, troubleshooting any rare issues that may arise before they reach the marketplace.

Our checks on fabrics at our supply source prior to the product being shipped to us are now even more stringent too. This ensures that our brands are consistently associated with the highest quality garments. And because it’s real, measureable quality, we hope that provides extra reassurance for you, our customers.
